When this laptop starts booting up, if you touch any key it dies and shuts down. It sounds like its still ON, because the fan is still running. Also if you press down on the top of it near the touchpad, you can hear it rebooting, but it dies again and nothing comes up on the screen.

Wife's Laptop. No Power. I've checked battery and power supply. Both OK. I can fix computers, but don't have diagnostic software or a way to test this motherboard. I'm guessing its the DC to DC coupler on the motherboard or the Charging board, but I don't have diagnostic software, nor do I have the expertise to replace components on a motherboard.

Computer froze, I shut it down, rebooted - and it would freeze again. Then I could not even re-boot it. Technican said the computer is toast - either has a burnt out cpu unit or motherboard problem.
